I think many of you have either heard of Ted Talks or have seen different guest speakers featured on the following website (www.ted.com/). When I am in need of motivation, I often go to the website and within seconds can be tuned into an incredible talk given by an inspiring person. Much I what I learn from these talks, I like to, in theory, apply to my own teaching practice. It isn't always easy, but if I can apply even one small idea from a Ted Talk or at least think about it, I feel a new sense of motivation. "Ideas worth spreading" is the Ted Talk moto. So with that in mind, each week I will post a Ted Talk video that I personally/professionally find meaningful. If you find value in these videos, great! If not, visit the website and do a search of talks that may inspire you. It's worth the effort. I will start off with one that I watched today that was excellent. Enjoy!
